Kathryn B. Fidati, PT, CMT graduated
from the University of North Carolina with a B.S. in Physical Therapy
in 1990 after earning a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1988. She
has been practicing physical therapy since graduation and holds a current
license in the State of Maryland. She completed the 500-hour program
at the Baltimore School of Massage and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic
Massage and Bodywork. She is also certified by the State of Maryland
as a massage therapist. Additionally, Kathryn has also completed a 250-hour
training in acupressure and oriental bodywork.
With over 16 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, Kathryn
has continued to expand and develop her skills in manual therapy. She
employs an osteopathic approach to assess movement dysfunctions within
the body coupled with an oriental approach to determine areas of blocked
energy (or chi). With this information she is then able to devise an
individualized plan of treatment for each client. She has completed
continuing education in such areas as craniosacral therapy, myofascial
release, movement reeducation therapies, therapeutic touch, neural mobilization,
reflexology and acupressure. Kathryn is a member of the American Physical
Therapy Association.
